Multi County Enterprise Unit (MCEU) Changes Effective for the 2021 and Succeeding Crop Years

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) revised the MCEU Endorsement for the 2021 and succeeding crop years for crops with a June 30, 2020, and later contract change date. The changes will provide greater flexibility for policyholders who elect enterprise units for both irrigated and non-irrigated practices and discover they do not qualify on or before the acreage reporting date.

The following documents will be available by close of business today on the RMA website at www.rma.usda.gov:

  • Multi-County Enterprise Unit Pilot Endorsement (21-MCEU)
  • MCEU Frequently Asked Questions
  • MCEU Fact Sheet

Approved insurance providers must notify policyholders of these changes at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date, as required by the policy. Interested producers should contact a crop insurance agent for further information. A list of agents can be found on the RMA website at www.rma.usda.gov/Information-Tools/Agent-Locator-Page.
