Rice Growers Have to Purchase, Modify coverage by February 15
VALDOSTA, Ga., Jan. 29, 2015 â USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) reminds farmers of the February 15 sales closing date for crop insurance in Florida. This sales closing date applies to crop insurance policies for rice in Glades, Hendry and Palm Beach counties. The sales closing date is the last day to buy a new policy or change an existing policy’s coverage level.
Crop insurance is sold and delivered solely through private crop insurance agents. Contact a local crop insurance agent for more information about the program. A list of crop insurance agents is available at all USDA service centers or on the RMA website at the RMA Agent Locator.
