RMA announces a change to the sales closing date for those in South Carolina
VALDOSTA, Ga., July 13, 2017 - USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) today announced a change in the sales closing date for the canola insurance option in South Carolina. The updated sales closing date is August 31, and will be effective beginning on August 31, 2017, for the 2018 and subsequent crop years.
The new date applies to canola insured under the Federal crop insurance program in Dillon county, South Carolina.
Growers are encouraged to visit their crop insurance agent soon to learn specific details for the 2018 crop year. A list of crop insurance agents is available at all USDA Service Centers and online at the RMA Agent Locator. Growers can use the RMA Cost Estimator to get a premium amount estimate of their insurance needs online.
