Background
The Standard Reinsurance Agreement requires a periodic review of approved insurance providers (AIPs) operations in order to confirm program compliance and the integrity of the Federal crop insurance program. The United States Department of Agriculture, Risk Management Agency (RMA) performs an AIP Performance Review (APR) of each AIP approximately once every three years, unless additional reviews are warranted.
RMA developed the APR timetable for the next three years indicating when the AIPs have been scheduled for an APR. The FY2018 APRs are scheduled to begin in November 2017. The Regional Compliance Office Directors will contact the AIPs as the date approaches to coordinate the information required from the AIPs and schedule an Entrance Conference. This schedule is subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of the Administrator of RMA. Affected AIPs will be individually notified of any changes.
