Area Risk Protection Insurance Basic Provisions and Forage Production Crop Provisions for the 2017 and succeeding crop years
Background
The Risk Management Agency (RMA) has revised the Area Risk Protection Insurance (ARPI) Basic Provisions (17-ARPI) and ARPI Forage Production Crop Provisions (17-ARPI-0033) for the 2017 and succeeding crop years. The provisions were revised to do the following:
- ARPI Basic Provisions: revised to allow flexibility in the Crop Provisions or Special Provisions to provide additional circumstances for which insureds may revise their acreage reports, which is necessary due to the program date changes in the ARPI Forage Production Crop Provisions.
- ARPI Forage Production Crop Provisions:
- Incorporate a Special Provisions statement into the Crop Provisions that was implemented in 2016 as a result of the Agricultural Act of 2014.
- Align the program dates to be consistent with the Actual Production History Forage Crop Provisions to meet the goals of the Acreage and Crop Reporting Streamlining Initiative.
