The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Board of Directors approved changes to the Triticale crop insurance program, under section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act, on May 21, 2021.
The following changes are applicable for the 2022 and succeeding crop years:
- Expand the program to an additional 128 counties in 21 states; and
- Revise the maximum contract price factor from 1.4 to 2.27 times the established price for the crop year.

Approved insurance providers must notify policyholders of these changes at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date, as required by the policy.
