Background
The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Board of Directors approved changes to the Hybrid Vegetable Seed crop insurance program, under section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act, on February 22, 2024.
The following changes are applicable for the 2025 and succeeding crop years:
PM-22-027
The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation’s Board of Directors (Board) approved revisions to the Hybrid Vegetable Seed plan of insurance, under section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act, on February 17, 2022. The policy was revised to determine the amount of insurance in terms of gross acres instead of female acres.

PM-21-022
The Risk Management Agency is making clarifications to the Hybrid Vegetable Seed crop insurance program for the 2022 crop year to address approved insurance provider (AIP) and producer questions. The program was privately developed in accordance with section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act.
The following changes are applicable for the 2022 and succeeding crop years:
PM-19-035
The 2020 Appendix III to the Standard Reinsurance Agreement and the Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement (Appendix III) has been updated with approved modifications. Appendix III is available electronically via the Risk Management Agency (RMA) website at www.rma.usda.gov/en/Policy-and-Procedure/ under the Appendix III/M- 13 directory.

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Board of Directors approved the Hybrid Vegetable Seed Insurance Program, a privately developed product that was submitted and approved under section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act, on March 27, 2019. This insurance program protects against production losses for Hybrid Carrot Seed. It is available for the 2020 crop year for producers in Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson, and Wasco counties in Oregon and Yakima county in Washington.
