PM-19-068: Hybrid Seed Rice Crop Provisions Changes Effective for the 2020 Crop Year

Background

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) revised the Hybrid Seed Rice Crop Provisions to remove the definition of “adjusted yield” and clarify definitions for “amount of insurance per acre” and “county yield.”

The changes are applicable for the 2020 and succeeding crop years.

PM-19-031: 2018 Crop Year Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) Final Area Yields and Final Area Revenues

In accordance with Section 10 of the SCO Endorsement, approved final area yields for 2018 crop year Buckwheat, Burley Tobacco, Cigar Binder Tobacco, Corn, Cucumbers, Dark Air Tobacco, Dry Beans, Fire Cured Tobacco, Flax, Flue Cured Tobacco, Grain Sorghum, Green Peas, Hybrid Corn Seed, Hybrid Seed Rice, Hybrid Sorghum Seed, Millet, Mustard, Peanuts, Popcorn, Processing Beans, Pumpkins, Rice, Sesame, Silage Sorghum, Soybeans, Sugar Beets, Sunflowers, Sweet Corn, and Tomatoes with a November 30th Contract Change Date will be available by close of business today in the following formats:

PM-18-059: Hybrid Seed Rice – Modifications Effective for 2019 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

The Risk Management Agency (RMA) has revised the Hybrid Seed Rice crop insurance program for the 2019 crop year to improve clarity with respect to the program’s processes and procedures. Primary changes include streamlining of language for clarity and consistency and addition of process illustrations in handbook exhibits.
