Common Crop Insurance Policy & Area Risk Protection Insurance 1

The 2020 CY harvest prices shown below are approved for the following plans of insurance: Revenue Protection; Area Revenue Protection; Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion; and Area Revenue Protection with the Harvest Price Exclusion. The harvest prices are applicable for the crops, sales closing dates, states, practices and types indicated in the following table.

PM-20-043: 2021 Appendix III - Standard Reinsurance Agreement and Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement

The 2021 Appendix III to the Standard Reinsurance Agreement and the Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement (Appendix III) has been updated with approved modifications. Appendix III is available electronically via the Risk Management Agency (RMA) website at www.rma.usda.gov/Policy-and-Procedure under the Appendix III/M-13 directory.

Modifications in the 2021 Appendix III include the following crop insurance program changes:

PM-20-036: Commodity Exchange Price Provisions for the 2021 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

The Commodity Exchange Price Provisions (CEPP) are used in conjunction with either the Common Crop Insurance Policy Basic Provisions or the Area Risk Protection Insurance Basic Provisions, along with Crop Provisions for the following crops: barley, canola/rapeseed, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, rice, soybeans, sunflowers and wheat.

The CEPP specifies how and when the projected and harvest price components will be determined. The CEPP contains two sections:

  • 2020 Actuarial Data Master for the 4/30, 8/31 Filing Date, YTD, and Daily Files.
  • 2021 Actuarial Data Master for the 4/30 Filing Date, YTD, and Daily Files.
